Launch of training workshop on strengthening the technical capacity of the regulator
  • 08 July, 2024

The Multisectoral Regulatory Authority of Djibouti (ARMD) is pleased to announce the holding of a training workshop titled "Strengthening the Technical Capacity of the Regulator," facilitated by the international consulting firm MARPIJ. This event will take place from July 8 to 11, 2024, at the Sheraton Djibouti Hotel, starting at 9:00 AM.

This training is part of ARMD's ongoing efforts to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of its staff. The workshop aims to provide participants with the necessary tools to better understand concepts such as interconnection and access regulation. MARPIJ, recognized for its international expertise in telecommunications regulation, will share its knowledge and experience through interactive sessions and practical case studies.

The workshop program is organized into 3 training sessions. Session 1 focuses on the concept of interconnection and its importance in a competitive context, and will introduce operator interconnection tariffs and the role of the regulator in this framework. Session 2 will outline best practices in interconnection from other regulatory authorities, while focusing on points relevant to the Djiboutian context. Finally, Session 3 will involve a case study applied to Djiboutian regulation to contextualize the acquired skills.
